Jennifer Garner shared a series of teary-eyed selfies as she celebrated her daughter Violet Affleck's high school graduation. After around 11 hours of flying time from take off in London, the aircraft bound for Singapore sharply dropped around 6,000 feet in just five minutes, causing chaos in the cabin. Terrified passengers have described how they had little warning to put their seatbelts on before the aircraft suddenly dropped. One passenger described how the plane started shaking before suddenly plummeting.

The British passenger who died onboard a Singapore Airlines jet travelling from the UK has been named as Geoffrey Kitchen, a 73-year-old musical theatre director from Bristol. The pensioner, who ran the Thornbury Musical Theatre Group, died from a suspected heart attack, officials have said. Around 30 people were injured in the incident, with Mr Kitchen's wife thought to be among those in hospital. Her condition is not known.

California spent $3million on 1,800 acres north of Sutter Buttes in 2003 with the aim of securing one of the country's most spectacular and historic landscapes. Outrage erupted at an Oregon swimming pool after it was claimed a transgender woman was seen undressing in front of women and children. One woman said she feared for her safety after the incident in the locker room at the Newport Recreation and Aquatic Center, reported KATU . 'We do not want our children to see persons of the opposite sex or persons transitioning to the opposite sex undressed or nude,' said Newport resident Linda Dinerstein at a council meeting on the issue Monday. Community member and transgender woman Mary Grace Frederick (right) said, 'People here tonight that are sitting in this room have called me a sexual deviant and a predator.' There's no suggestion Frederick was the woman involved in the incident that triggered the complaint.

NEW A historic hotel from the 20th century has been completely renovated in Harbor Springs, Michigan. The Otis Harbor Springs was crafted by the designer who worked on Campy David, Kenneth Blasingame. With the help of three others, Blasingame created a mid-century hotel for guests and locals alike. Reservations for the lush hotel are set to open up on May 31 with options to book a studio room and even a large family suite.

Brother Christian Matson, 39, announced that he is a transgender man on Sunday on the Christian feast of Pentecost. The monk, who is based in the Appalachian mountains, made the announcement with the permission of his, bishop John Stowe of the Diocese of Lexington but admitted that he is anticipating backlash from conservative members of the church as he is thought to be one of the only people in his position to come out within the church.

The large brawl erupted Saturday night in the parking lot at Astro Skate in Brandon after frustrated party-goers put out a call online encouraging people to 'riot' and 'confront law enforcement' at the skate park. The rampage saw more than 400 people, both children and adults, fighting, stealing and causing damage to local businesses. One group of rioters caused $500 worth of damage to a convenience store and another beat a juvenile before throwing him through a glass window at a nearby barber shop. Twenty-three youths and six adults were arrested in the violent outbreak.

Sean ' Diddy ' Combs' former head of security Roger Bonds has said he personally  witnessed the rapper become violent towards women 'around four or five times' to his exes Kim Porter and Cassie Ventura. Bonds, who worked for the singer more than 10 years ago, made the shocking allegations during an interview with Piers Morgan on Monday night. 'When you go through life just paying your way out, I really feel like he might be sorry now that he got caught but if that was a one-time incident then I would say accept his apology,' Bonds said. Diddy broke his silence over the weekend after shocking video of him beating up his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura surfaced last week.
