Siegel made an astonishing admission after the emergence of the harrowing video depicting the 54-year-old rapper attacking his ex-girlfriend.

Taeyoung Kim, 21, was taken into custody for allegedly causing a crash that killed Marko Niketic, a Glenbrook South High School senior on May 12. The crash also left both passengers in each car hospitalized in critical condition.

Political commentator Alice Stewart who more recently appeared as an analyst on CNN after working for several Republican presidential campaigns, has died suddenly at the age of 58. Stewart's body was found outside in a neighborhood in northern Virginia after suffering a 'medical emergency'. Police say no foul play was suspected.

'God's Square Mile', a New Jersey Christian enclave, could be stopped from banning people from using public beaches on Sunday mornings.  The state of New Jersey is suing the religious group in a case that could result in the community being charged $25,000 a day in fines for violating beach access laws. The Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, which owns all the land in the small town of Ocean Grove including the beach, claims the policy is in accordance with its religious belief about the Lord's Day.

Violence erupted today when a large number of NYPD officers tried to push back an angry mob of nearly 250 people who took to the streets of Brooklyn to march in support of Palestine. Images show officers tackling and dragging protestors to arrest them as they kept yelling and fighting back. A Palestinian-led community organization named Within Our Lifetime reportedly assembled the protest.

Eduardo Sarabia has been charged with sexually assaulting two women near the Angeles National Forest between May 12 and 13. He is being held without bail. Police say they caught Sarabia raping a 26-year-old woman off of Highway 39 in the Angeles National Forest in his 'rigged for rape' 2015 Ford Transit van. Officials say Sarabia kept his victims locked inside the 'cage,' in order to them 'take them to a remote location and rape them'

Ontario woman Amanda Husk has just weeks to live after being denied a liver transplant by medics who cited her 'minimal abstinence' from alcohol as a reason to deny the transplant. Officials at University Health Network cited 'minimal abstinence from alcohol' outside hospital as a reason for the rejection. Husk's partner Nathan Allen said the situation was a 'wakeup call' and she had vowed to get help if she could get the transplant. He now plans to take her to Europe for the surgery if she survives that long.

One major city has emerged as stand out winner in the war on inflation - with prices rising at 2.6 percent. This is almost down to the Federal Reserve's 2 percent target, and is far lower than the higher national annual inflation rate of 3.4 per cent.
