A Boeing plane's tyre burst during landing in Turkey today, the third passenger aircraft built by the manufacturing giant to suffer a technical problem or crash in just two days. On Wednesday, a Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by FedEx made an emergency landing at Istanbul Airport after its front landing gear failed. Dramatic video showed the nose of the plane skidding across the runway as it came to a halt. And just this morning, shocking footage emerged showing the moment terrified passengers fled a burning Boeing 737-300 jet carrying 78 passengers that skidded off the runway and caught fire during take-off in Senegal.

Instagram bully Katherine Asplundh has shut down her account as users join forces to claim every available variation of her desired username. The influencer, whose maiden name was Driscoll, married Cabot Asplundh, 27, of the Pennsylvania billionaire family at a reception in Palm Beach, Florida, two weeks ago. She went viral after aggressively messaging a stranger who shares her married name, demanding she hand over her Instagram handle - @katherineasplundh. The exchange has prompted netizens to take the other Katherine's side, creating dozens of fake accounts with various spellings of the billionaire's wife's name, ultimately taking away every possible username option that includes either her maiden or married name. After her threatening DM conversation was leaked, Katherine deactivated her Instagram amid the backlash. She had 14,600 followers. 

Aayden Gallagher, who identifies as a girl, dominated in the Portland Interscholastic League Championship Semi-Finals on Wednesday. Gallagher, a sophomore at McDaniel High School, was cleared to participate in the semi-finals on May 7 and competed in both the girls varsity 200m and 400m races. The 10th grader took first place in the girls 400 meter varsity run and second place in the 200 meter race, qualifying her for the finals today at Lincoln High School. If she places in the top two in any of today's events, Gallagher will move on to compete in the Oregon State Championships.

A growing economy could inspire confidence in Biden's leadership ahead of the election, but the issue of persistent inflation could scupper that Biden, who was in Wisconsin to tout his record on the economy and to announce an investment by Microsoft to build a factory, defended his handling of inflation. Polls show voters are nervous about the critical and critical of Biden's handling of the economy. But Biden, in his interview with CNN, claimed the polls are wrong and Americans struggling with inflation have more cash in their pockets, saying: 'They have the money to spend.'

Engoron ordered former President Donald Trump in March to pay a $454 million judgement after 30 lenders turned him away. Trump - who frequently referred to Engoron as 'crazed' and 'corrupt' - posted $175 million in bond before a deadline to avoid asset seizure as he appeals the ruling. Adam Leitman Bailey (pictured left), a New York real estate attorney, said at the time of the ruling in public that he spoke to Judge Engoron three weeks before the ruling and told him to 'get it right.'

Two men started having a loud shouting match, which escalated into a physical brawl across a row of seats as a Spirit Airlines flight touched down in Boston on Tuesday. It wasn't clear why they fight started, but a flight attendant was forced to use her arms as a shield to break them apart as they threw punches in the aisle.

A painting contractor hired to paint over pro-Palestine graffiti on a college campus sprayed a group of protestors refusing to move as he covered up their vandalism. The incident took place at Case Western Reserve University, a private research university in Cleveland, Ohio. American right-wing author and social media influencer Andy Ngo shared video of the shocking moment on X. He captioned the video, 'a contractor hired to paint over a vandalized wall by pro-Gaza activists is met by protesters who want to stop him. He proceeds to paint over them too.' Video shows a white wall in an outdoor area of the university that has been vandalized with pro-Gaza symbols, scribbles and phrases.

A Santa Clara County jury sided with two teens on claims concerning breach of oral contract and lack of due process after they were forced to withdraw from Saint Francis High School over 'blackface' accusations. The former students, identified as A.H. and H.H., sued the school in 2020 after a photo of them sporting acne face masks circulated throughout the community. The boys were pressured into withdrawing, rather than facing expulsion, and were promised that any mentions of disciplinary action would be scrubbed from their record. However, the school principal later went back on her promise.

Ann Lorenzo can be seen being interrogated and eventually cuffed on one charge of sexual battery in new police bodycam (left). The 48-year-old, dubbed 'Karen' for her gall, had  came up behind the girl and tugged her skirt down to cover her modesty - with the incident (right) filmed by one of the unnamed victim's friends (inset) and posted on TikTok where it went viral. 'You are going to arrest me?' she says in the clip, during which she reenacted how she 'harmlessly' tugged at the girl's skirt. The 19-year-old victim is seen in a different section of the new clips telling cops how she felt 'violated' by the unsanctioned display. The new footage was filmed at the sheriff's office the following day, with both of the girl's faces censored to protect their privacy.

Karyn Lombardo, 57, was found dead in her family home in Burbank around 10pm Tuesday. Her son, Kyle Lombardo, 25, was arrested and charged with her murder. Police said the mother and son got into an altercation but it is unclear what sparked it. Her husband, Vince Lombardo, was not home at the time of the murder. Karyn worked as a teacher in the Burbank Unified School District for three decades and was loved by many students, parents and co-workers.

Suspect Elliott Dugan, 51, was pulled over after he fell asleep at the wheel at a stop light, before cops found the Lamborghini supercar was stolen, leading to a daring chase that ended in chaos. Dugan was pulled over by officers on April 6 at around 5am. After the cops ran his license and registration, the officers found he had multiple felony warrants and the supercar was reported stolen. As he was ordered to step out of the car, Dugan argued before speeding away, and reached 113mph until he collided with a central median that sent him 100 feet down the road.

The unnatural deaths in Natrona County began last fall, and have continued into the new year. Coroner Jim Whipps on Tuesday urged county commissioners to address the issue, after 12 people, mostly young adults, killed themselves over the past four months. 'If you extrapolate that out, that is like 36 to 40 suicides that I can expect this year,' five-year vet Whipps said. That would break a record set in 2022, he pointed out - when 32 people Natrona County committed suicide. The root cause, he said, remains unknown -  leaving citizens of county seat Casper concerned. The town is where a 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death as he tried to protect his girlfriend from two teens at a mall - a blow to the tight-knit community.

Israel 's Eurovision performance has been booed and faced with chants of 'Free Palestine ' in chaotic scenes. Eden Golan was nearly drowned out by the protest during the Eurovision Song Contest's Jury Show last night. Videos shared online show pro-Palestine activists disrupting almost her entire performance, with people in the crowd calling the atmosphere 'horrible'. The singer, who was born in Israel but grew up in Russia , has faced death threats ahead of her performances at the Malmo Arena in Sweden in the competition this week. The 20-year-old was performing her song 'Hurricane' when she was targeted by demonstrators who shouted and booed in protest against her nation. It comes after calls for Israel to be barred from competing in Eurovision following the war in Gaza, which has seen 33,000 Palestinians killed after Hamas launched a series of terrorist attacks.

A traveler has warned sightseers against staying at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The content creator, who goes by PinkVenomGirl on TikTok, posted about her unfortunate experience staying at the hotel. Her video, which got more than 1.9 million views, showcased the lengthy queue for the elevators and featured overlaid text reading: 'DO NOT!!! STAY AT CIRCUS CIRCUS IN LAS VEGAS!! (sic)'
