Walmart has begun ditching self-checkouts from stores - and shoppers couldn't be happier. Yesterday, DailyMail.com reported how the retail giant is removing them completely from another two stores. Others simply preferred face to face customer service at manned tills. Some were furious at the job losses caused by self checkouts, with one saying: 'Never used a self checkout in my life. I like to keep people employed.'

San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan's security detail got involved in a physical altercation while he was downtown for a restaurant opening.
